Welcome to the first of what will be regular Weekend Updates. These posts will recap my efforts for the previous week, and plans for the next. These are going to be really important for me. They will help keep me accountable to myself for the work that needs to be done. 

Last Week

This past week was a total bust. We got lots of ice and snow, so outside runs/walks came to a halt while I tracked down some silicone for my treadmill belt. I was also busy nearly every evening with various things like christmas shopping, classes, work, etc. It made me realize how important time management skills are going to be on this journey.

In short, last week was a complete failure. I honestly can’t afford to waste any more time like that.

This Week

I’m spending some time this weekend putting my training plans to paper, so that I have a concrete plan to follow for every week up to the half marathon at the end of May. I’m also recommitting to the running program, and starting to run indoors to avoid the nasty weather and dangerous sidewalk conditions.
